Calling all golfers in the Province.
The Committee for the Oxfordshire 2022 MCF Festival are holding a charity golf day at Sonning Golf Club on Wednesday 3rd
July. The course should be in fabulous condition at that time of the year and will be an absolute pleasure to play. The
entry fee of £50 per player is an utter bargain with a welcome bacon roll & tea/ coffee, 18 holes of golf and dinner
afterwards with prizes.
Sonning's original layout was designed by JH Taylor with later input from Harry Colt. The course measures 6,329 yards and
has a par of 70 and a SSS of 71. It generally plays longer than its yardage due to fairway watering and the elevation
of several greens and fairways and although originally a heath land course, there is now an abundance of mature trees
and shrubs that line its fairways.
Please see the attached flyer for further details and booking procedure. It would be great to see as many of the
Provinces golfers in attendance as possible so please get your friends together to make up a team and enter as soon
as you can. We are limited to 16 four balls and the flyer will be going out to other neighbouring Provinces.
