Oxfordshire Provincial Grand Lodge
Festival Honorifics
What's it all about?

The Province wishes to acknowledge the generosity of its Brethren by issuing Festival Jewels and Bars to all qualifying Brethren. Each Brother upon qualifying as a Festival Steward will receive a notification letter from the Festival Secretary and asked to return the slip provided indicating whether he wishes:- a) to receive his Jewel in open Lodge b) to receive his jewel in private c) not to receive a jewel. Once the Festival Secretary receives a reply, he will arrange the presentation through the Lodge Charity Steward. The presentation will take place according to the recipient's wishes. The same procedure is adopted for those possessing a Jewel and subsequently qualifying for a Patron's or Grand Patron's Bar. The Province fully understands that it may not be within every Brother's means to qualify for the various honorifics and greatly appreciates all donations made.
All Brethren are encouraged to become a Festival Steward by donating a minimum of £300 (Excluding Interest and Gift Aid tax reclaimed) towards the 2022 Festival Appeal. This equates to a regular contribution of £5 per month over 5 years. Once donating or promising to donate by regular Standing Order the sum of £300 those qualifying will receive a letter of notification from the Festival Secretary and can apply to receive a Festival Jewel.
Brethren may become a Festival Vice Patron by donating a minimum of £600 towards the Festival Appeal, this includes the £300 already paid to become a Steward (Excluding any Gift Aid tax reclaimed by the MCF). Vice Patrons are entitled to wear the Vice Patron bar on their Festival Jewel. £600 if spread evenly over 5 years would equate to a regular monthly contribution of £10.
Brethren may become a Festival Patron by donating a minimum of £900 towards the Festival Appeal, this includes the £600 already paid to become a Steward (Excluding any Gift Aid tax reclaimed by the MCF). Patrons are entitled to wear the Patron bar on their Festival Jewel. £900 if spread evenly over 5 years would equate to a regular monthly contribution of £15.
Brethren may become a Festival Grand Patron by donating a minimum of £1200 towards the Festival Appeal, this includes the £600 already paid to become a Patron (Excluding any Gift Aid tax reclaimed by the MCF). Grand Patrons are entitled to wear the Grand Patron bar on their Festival Jewel. £1200 if spread evenly over 5 years would equate to a regular monthly contribution of £20.
