On Saturday, members of the Widows Sons Oxonian Chapter proudly represented Oxfordshire Freemasonry by conveying a commemorative wreath, presented by Prof. Stephen Tucker, Head of Oxfordshire Freemasons, to the National Memorial Arboretum.
The riders set off through the scenic Cotswolds, meeting up with members of the Buckinghamshire Chapter, led by Tim Anders, Head of Buckinghamshire Freemasons. After a brief — though slightly longer than planned — stop, the group continued their journey to Tamworth Masonic Centre, where over 200 Masonic bikers had gathered for the occasion.
Together, the convoy rode to the National Memorial Arboretum, where, following a photo session with the United Grand Lodge of England’s photographer, the wreaths were placed into storage in preparation for next week’s remembrance ceremony.
The event was both a proud and moving experience for all involved, symbolising the unity and respect shared across Masonic provinces. The Oxonian Chapter expressed deep gratitude to all the Oxfordshire riders who joined the journey, describing it as “an honour to bear the Oxfordshire wreath” and a tradition they hope to continue annually.
