Emma – wife of Oxfordshire Freemason Stu Harrison, finally fulfilled her childhood dream, taking to the skies for the exhilarating rush of a wing walk. Her passion soon became a family story when she shared it with her adventurous stepson, Ollie, who shared her love of thrills and challenges.
Now 21, Ollie joined Emma in turning that passion into purpose. Together, they took part in a wing walking fundraiser for Teddies for Loving Care (TLC), a charity supported by Freemasons across England and Wales that provides teddy bears to children in hospital to offer comfort during difficult times.
Although the flight was brought forward due to weather conditions, the day proved a huge success. Supported by pilot Dave and the professional team at AeroSuperBatics, Emma and Ollie soared through the skies with smiles and thumbs up, cheered on by family, friends, and the TLC community.
Their fearless efforts raised over £700 for TLC helping to provide comfort to countless children in need.
Reflecting on the experience, Emma said, “It’s amazing to finally share this experience with Ollie and to do it for such a special cause. I’ll never forget seeing the Crunchie Wing walking Team as a little girl — it planted a dream that’s stayed with me all these years. To make that dream come true again, this time alongside Ollie, and to raise money for TLC, is just incredible.”
Ollie added: “It was one of the best experiences of my life! Knowing we’ve helped raise money for children who need comfort makes it even more rewarding.”
From a childhood dream to a family challenge, Emma and Ollie’s story is a shining example of how inspiration, family, and Freemasonry values can come together to make a real difference.
